Cal State Northridge senior Luigi Colella, a 2013 California state champion at Thousand Oaks who represents SNA Foggia and competes internationally for Italy, won the men's elite division with a 17-foot clearance (5.18m) to set a facility record at the Vaulter Club Magazine Big Red Barn Meet in Menifee, Calif. Colella hadn't competed since winning the Beach Opener with a 17-3.75 (5.28m) clearance on March 7 at Long Beach State.
